The poker world was admired with poker player named Barry Tanenbaum. It was on Tuesday that the poker community was saddened as the 66 years old writer and poker player passed away. It was noted that Tanenbaum was having health problems earlier in the month. And just this November 22, he lost his battle with kidney problem.
For those who are not familiar with Tanenbaum, he was one of the most respected mid stakes in the hold’em during the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Aside from that, he also wrote a book about poker called Advanced Limit Hold’em Strategy that made such a good resource for all the other players who are just starting to learn the game. His playing was such a regular fixture in the games of $30/$60 and $40/$80 that made him well known to others.
The team of Poker News offers sincere condolences to Barry’s wife, Betty along with those others who new him well. Jan Fisher, his closed friend for many years claimed that even during Tanenbaum’s rarest defeats, he remained an inspiration because he was such a good person both away and at the table. Fisher said that he always respected his playmates and the people around him. In fact, if there is one thing to describe of the man, Jan believes he was such a class act which people will be missed about.
