iPoker Network Splits Into Two Player Pools
The much-anticipated split of Playtech’s iPoker network into two different tiers has finally happened.
The top tier consists of the bigger operators who have managed to maintain the required criteria set by iPoker. They are expected to provide an exponential increase in traffic to satisfy the need for new players on the network.
William Hill, Titan Poker, Poker 770, Bet365, and Paddy Power are all in the top tier.
In order to qualify for the top tier, companies had to maintain a minimum of 6,000 real money and active players each month and bring in 850 new real money and active players each month.
The lower tier mainly consists of smaller operators who are unable to maintain the network criteria for the top tier. This network includes companies such as Betfred and Mansion Poker.
There are rumors that some operators in the lower tier are in talks to work together in order to provide better competition and increase performance.
